Why Junbi?

"Junbi" (準備) means "preparation" in Japanese. It's a simple word that captures something profound: the art of getting ready. In Japanese culture, it's about doing things the right way, not just the fast way. Think of it like a chef sharpening their knives before cooking, or a musician tuning their instrument before playing.

I've always believed that good preparation is the secret to success. But I've also noticed that most tools designed to help us prepare end up making things more complicated. They add extra steps, create more work, and often get in the way of what we're actually trying to do.

The Problem

Have you ever spent more time setting up your task manager than actually doing the tasks? Or spent hours organizing your study materials instead of studying? I have. That's why I started building tools that do the heavy lifting for you. Tools that help you prepare without getting in your way.

What We're Building

LavaFlow and Crucible are my attempt to build the tools I wish I had. They use AI to handle the tedious parts of preparation, so you can focus on what matters. LavaFlow helps you stay focused and organized, while Crucible makes learning more efficient. They're not perfect yet, but they're getting better every day. And they're built with one simple idea in mind: preparation should make your life easier, not harder.
